A dormitory of the Kyiv Aviation Institute (formerly the National Aviation University) was damaged in Kyiv as a result of an attack by Russian forces, according to Acting Rector of KAI Kseniia Semenova on Instagram.

"Drone debris hit a KAI dormitory," Semenova wrote.

She clarified that there were injuries as a result of the attack, but no fatalities.

According to Semenova, everyone was in a shelter during the rest of the attack.

Students and staff are already being relocated from the damaged dormitory.

Attack on Kyiv

On the night of June 17, Russian forces launched a drone and missile attack on Kyiv.

As of now, it is known that at least ten people were injured. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported 16 injured.

During the attack, reports spread online that a dormitory of the National Aviation University had been struck.
