If you really want to lose weight, physical exercises in the gym or at home alone are not enough.

What you need to do most importantly to shed those pounds is explained by trainer Darcy Fitz on TikTok.

What you should do first for weight loss

According to the expert, the gym is not the first thing you should consider when trying to lose weight.

All you need to do is focus on a calorie deficit diet, regardless of whether you consume carbohydrates, fats, proteins, or not.

"Focus on eating in a calorie deficit and go for a daily walk," said the fitness guru.

Darcy noted that the problem with weight loss is that many people do not perceive a new lifestyle as something permanent and instead want to lose weight quickly, only to return to their old habits.

The trainer mentioned that rapid weight loss might not be the best approach.

Darcy advised to start slowly and work one's way up.

The fitness guru suggested that once you gain enough confidence and energy in your journey to a healthy lifestyle, you will start losing weight over time.

One of Darcy's followers commented that it was 100% true that they had lost 46 kg without extreme workouts, attributing their success to healthy eating, a calorie deficit, and walking 2-3 times a week.
