Mechnikov hospital in Dnipro damaged in Russian attack, says President Zelenskyy. This facility is one of Ukraine's most important hospitals, informs the President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram.

The President responded to the evening and nighttime attacks by the enemy on Kyiv, Dnipro, Sumy, Khmelnytskyi regions, and other areas.

"After everything said in Kazan (at the BRICS summit), Russian killers have returned to their usual business. This once again proves that aggression cannot be stopped with conversations but only with decisive actions to defend the state and the people against whom this war has been unleashed," the President stated.

Zelenskyy confirmed that the attack on Dnipro damaged one of Ukraine's most important hospitals — Mechnikov hospital — as well as residential buildings.

Three people were killed in the shelling, including a child. In Kyiv, a 14-year-old girl was also killed as a result of the attack.

"This war has been going on for three years now, with only one culprit — Moscow. That is why we need such pressure on the aggressor that can force it to cease its terror and war. Reliable peace and security can only be achieved through strength and determination," the President added.

Nighttime shelling in Ukraine

In the early hours of October 26, Russian occupiers launched ballistic attacks on Dnipro. The assault damaged a hospital, residential buildings, and partially destroyed a two-story house. Rescue teams retrieved the bodies of three victims from the debris.

As of 11:00 AM, the number of injured in Dnipro has risen to 20, including girls aged 8 and 16 and two 17-year-old boys.

Additionally, the occupiers attacked Kyiv with drones. In the Solomianskyi district, a multi-story building was damaged, resulting in a fire. A 14-year-old child was killed in the attack, and six others were injured.

In Kyiv Oblast, drone fragments fell, leading to one fatality and injuries to a child.
