Russian terrorists launched a combined drone and ballistic missile attack on Kyiv during the night of July 4. Fires and damage were reported in several districts of the capital, reports the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS).

In the Solomianskyi district of the capital, part of a five-story residential building was destroyed. A massive fire broke out on the roof of a seven-story building, covering an area of around 2,000 square meters. Storage facilities, a service station, and a garage cooperative also caught fire. A large portion of civilian infrastructure was damaged.

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a fire erupted after a drone struck a 14-story residential building. Vehicles caught fire, and several non-residential buildings were also engulfed in flames.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, an uninhabited eight-story building was damaged, with the ground floor destroyed.

In the Holosiivskyi and Darnytskyi districts, debris from downed enemy drones was reported to have fallen.

Information on casualties is still being clarified.

"More than 450 rescuers and nearly 100 DSNS units have been deployed to deal with the aftermath of the attack in Kyiv," the statement said.

Russian strike on Kyiv

An air raid alert was declared in Kyiv at 5:15 p.m. due to the threat of drone attacks. It lasted until 7:24 p.m., but sirens were heard again at 8:00 p.m.

During the night of July 4, a series of powerful explosions rocked the capital. Kyiv came under a combined attack from Russian terrorists using both ballistic missiles and drones.

Nineteen residents of Kyiv were injured in the overnight assault. Five people are receiving outpatient care, while fourteen have been hospitalized.
