Destruction of ship Sergei Kotov: Ukrainian Defense Intelligence clarifies Russian losses
As a result of the destruction of the Russian ship Sergei Kotov, 27 crew members were injured. There are also casualties, according to the Telegram channel of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
"According to updated information, at least 27 crew members of the destroyed Russian ship Sergei Kotov near the Kerch Strait have suffered injuries of varying degrees of severity," the intelligence press service writes.
According to preliminary data, 7 Russian sailors were killed.
Intelligence adds that information regarding Russian losses is still being clarified.
Attack on the Russian ship Sergei Kotov
On the night of March 4-5, the special unit of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Group 13 struck the patrol ship Sergei Kotov of the Black Sea Fleet near the Kerch Strait. As a result of the attack by maritime drones Magura V5, the ship sustained damage to the stern, right, and left sides.
According to RBC-Ukraine sources in the Special Services, there was a helicopter on board the destroyed Russian ship Sergei Kotov, presumably Ka-27.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, no safe havens are left for the enemy in the Black Sea. There will also be no safe airspace.
