Deputy bomber and 26 victims in Zakarpattia: Details on grenade explosions in village council
In Zakarpattia, during a session of the Keretskivska village council, a deputy detonated grenades in the building. As a result, at least 26 people were injured, some of them in critical condition.

Explosion during the session
Official information about the grenade explosion in the building of the Keretska village council in Mukachevo district during a session was reported by the police press service of the Zakarpattia region.
"At 11:37, a message was received on the 102 line that during the session of the council of the Keretskivska village council of the Mukachevo district, one of the deputies detonated grenades in the building," the statement said.

A video also appeared with the moment of the grenade explosion. A man initially stands near the doors, then takes out grenades and detonates them during a session. The video can be seen at the link.
Number of victims
Initially, law enforcement officers reported that as a result of the explosion, one person (the detonator himself) was killed, and 11 people were injured.
However, the information was later updated. Currently, it is known that 26 people were affected by the consequences of the explosion, 6 of whom are in critical condition.
The police added that medical personnel are conducting resuscitation measures for the man who detonated the grenades.
Currently, all relevant services, the investigative-operational group of the police, bomb disposal experts, and forensic experts are working at the scene. Urgent investigative actions are ongoing.
Information about the detonator
According to the National Police and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a deputy of the village council detonated the grenades. Meanwhile, local media have already named him. Sources of RBC-Ukraine also confirmed that the grenades were detonated by a deputy of the village council from the Servant of the People party(Sluha narodu), Serhiy Batrin.
The incident will be investigated as a terrorist act
The investigators of the National Police qualified for the event under Part 1 of Article 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition, or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In addition, the Security Service of Ukraine will investigate the event under Part 1 of Article 258 (terrorist act) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Since this is the jurisdiction of the SSU.
At the same time, on one of the TV channels, the acting deputy chief of the Department of Communication of the National Police, Yulia Hirdvilis, said that the perpetrator could face up to 10 years in prison with property confiscation.
In Zakarpattia, an emergency meeting of the Regional Defense Council has been convened.
The head of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, Viktor Mykita, announced that all the victims have been urgently transported to healthcare facilities, where they are receiving medical assistance.
"An emergency meeting of the Regional Defense Council has been convened to make urgent operational decisions," he said.
The Department of Health of the Regional State Administration has also been instructed to organize support for the treatment of those affected by the explosion, provide all necessary medical supplies, and coordinate work with the families of the injured.
SSU has launched an investigation
As reported by RBC-Ukraine sources, the Security Service of Ukraine has initiated an investigation into the detonation of explosive grenades in the premises of the Keretska village council in Zakarpattia under Article 258 (terrorist act) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Currently, eyewitnesses and witnesses of the event, as well as the motives of the perpetrator, are being identified.
