Denmark announces €1 billion aid package for Ukraine
The government of Denmark has decided to provide Ukraine with a new support package totaling 1 billion euros, announces the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen.
The head of the Danish government has announced a new aid package for Ukraine today, December 13, at a press conference in Oslo.
The official has mentioned that on Thursday, December 14, she will present the new support package to her parliament.
This statement was made against the backdrop of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to the capital of Norway to meet with leaders from Northern European countries.
Denmark's assistance to Ukraine
Copenhagen has already provided Ukraine with defense assistance amounting to around 2.8 billion euros following Russia's large-scale invasion.
Additionally, the Danish government has also offered humanitarian aid to Ukraine totaling 378 million euros.
In October, Denmark's Minister of Defense, Troels Lund Poulsen, mentioned the country's possibility of sending the first F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine in the first quarter of the following year.
