Defense of Kharkiv region: Zelenskyy reviewed construction of fortifications
Fortifications in the Kharkiv region continue to be strengthened. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been briefed on it's construction, according to the Office of the President of Ukraine.
During his trip to the Kharkiv region, the President visited the border with Russia, where defensive structures and fortifications are being built.
"The Kharkiv region is a very important direction. We must be prepared. And the Russians should see that we are ready to defend ourselves. And so that our people understand that Ukraine is prepared if the enemy tries to attack," emphasized the head of state.

At the same time, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, revealed that the fortifications consist of a system of trenches, bunkers, and other types of shelters. Additionally, concrete pyramids, dragon's teeth, and anti-tank ditches are being installed in the region.
The project for the construction of fortifications was developed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, taking into account the experience of fighters on the front lines of defense.
Fortification in Ukraine
Back in January of this year, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated a record amount of funds for the construction of fortifications in the country - 17.5 billion hryvnias.
In early March, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is building fortifications along the entire frontline and on the border with Belarus.
In particular, they are being erected in the Rivne region. The process is taking place in coordination with the military.
