Defense Intelligence chief revealed whether he is involved in operations planning
Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, spoke about the planning of operations and whether he participates in it.
According to the head of military intelligence, he prefers not to interfere with the work of the executors of the operations themselves.
"In general, I try not to interfere in the direct work of the executors of certain operations. But in the general planning, yes, I always (take part - ed.)," Budanov said.
Budanov's participation in DIU operations
Earlier in October last year, the commander of the Artan special unit's MANPADS group, Oleksandr "Lutyi," said that the DIU's special forces are often sent on missions where they have to face multiple enemy superiority. Their chief, Budanov, is directly involved in some of the operations.
According to him, the head of the DIU literally forced 19 Russian occupiers to surrender in a personal conversation, just by talking on the radio.
