Defense forces destroy enemy S-300 system in east
The Ukrainian Defense Forces hit a Russian S-300 system at midnight in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk region, according to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
"I express gratitude to the soldiers for successfully completing the combat mission! Tonight, missile forces units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces, struck the enemy's S-300 complex in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region. According to intelligence information, the damage to the enemy's radar station and launchers was confirmed," he wrote.
According to Syrskyi, more detailed information about the consequences of the strike is currently being clarified. However, this is not the first successful joint operation of Ukrainian missile forces and other defense components against important military targets of Russia. Previously, over 20 launcher units and approximately 15 radar stations have been destroyed.
"We continue to systematically destroy the potential of the Russian air defense system, creating favorable conditions for the successful use of air-launched weapons," he added.
