Ukrainian intelligence struck a blow to the rare and valuable Russian radio relay station 48Ya6-K1 Podlet. It was located in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.

"The object was damaged in the border zone near the settlement of Krasnaya Polyana in the Shebekino district of the Belgorod region," the statement said.

According to intelligence reports, the Russian radio relay station was out of order, and the enemy personnel suffered losses. The operation was carried out by fighters of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Special Operations Forces, and the military of the 1st Separate Special Purpose Brigade named after Ivan Bohun.

What is known about Podlet?

The radio relay station 48Ya6-K1 Podlet was created to detect small, low-speed targets in a complex environment at very short distances.

As claimed by the Russians themselves, the "unique station" can detect such targets better than the universal S-400 systems. The Podlet radars complement the S-400 complexes on essential fronts.

In mid-October, the Security Service of Ukraine successfully attacked a substation in the Belgorod region. Sources of RBC-Ukraine reported that the substation was located in the village of Krasna Yaruga and was connected to enemy military facilities.
