Debris rain: Belgorod and region attacked from air, destruction reported
Another air attack has been carried out on the Russian city of Belgorod and the Belgorod region. Infrastructure damage has been reported due to the interception of targets by air defense systems, according to the Telegram channel of the Governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
According to him, the attack caused damage of varying degrees to the city, but load-bearing structures of buildings were not affected. There are no casualties or injuries reported.
Around 5 a.m., loud explosions were reported above the city. Eyewitnesses complained of a debris rain.
Telegram channels have released photos of debris from downed aerial targets.
In the USA, Ukrainian Armed Forces were officially allowed to attack Russian territory using Western weapons. Permission is limited to the Kharkiv direction and the territory of the Belgorod region.
In connection with this, Russian military personnel have already begun to be evacuated from Belgorod.
On May 31, residents of the city reported incidents of falling aerial bombs.
