Strike on Kyiv on the night of July 31
On the night of July 31, Russian troops carried out a combined strike on Kyiv using missiles and kamikaze drones. The greatest destruction occurred in the Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a direct hit by a missile completely destroyed the entrance of a multi-storey residential building. Victims are still being pulled out from under the rubble. Rescuers, medics, and all relevant services are working at the site of the strike.
In total, more than 100 objects were damaged by the strike, including not only residential buildings but also educational institutions, hospitals, kindergartens, and a university. Some streets and avenues remain closed.
According to preliminary data, during the attack, the Russians launched more than 300 drones and at least 8 missiles. Air defense forces were operating, but part of the enemy targets broke through, causing significant destruction. There is a possibility that reactive drones were used, which are difficult to intercept due to their speed.
