Death toll from Russian strike on Ukraine's Pryluky rises to 13, more than 50 people injured

The death toll from the Russian strike on Pryluky on Wednesday, October 7, has risen to 13, including four children, according to a statement by Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus.
"Russians killed 13 of our people, including four children. More than 50 people were injured," he said.
The head of the regional military administration noted that the search and rescue operation is ongoing and that all those affected are receiving the necessary assistance.
"Tasks have been set to quickly eliminate the consequences of these brutal strikes," Chaus said.
At around 6:00 a.m. Kyiv time today, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Pryluky, with one of the strikes directly hitting a residential apartment building. At the time of the attack, residents were still in their apartments.
Emergency services, police officers, rescuers, and medics are currently working at the site of the strike. Specialists are dealing with the aftermath of the attack and assisting those affected.
Overnight, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine. The aggressor country used drones, North Korean missiles, ballistic missiles, Kalibr missiles, and other types of weapons. Air defenses shot down most of them, but there were also hits.
