The death toll from a Russian attack on Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region on Monday, November 2, has risen to 37, Mykhailo Semikin, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported.
"Search and rescue operations are still underway at the site of the tragedy. Emergency workers from the State Emergency Service, including search dog handlers and mine rescue specialists, are working there. My heartfelt condolences to everyone who lost loved ones in this terrible tragedy," he said.
The regional administration head added that search operations at the site of the Russian strike are continuing.
On Monday, November 2, Russia struck Komyshuvakha twice with aerial bombs. The targets included a school where humanitarian aid was being distributed and a shelter.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russian occupation forces knew that humanitarian aid was distributed at the site every week.
On Tuesday evening, November 3, Semikin said that 58 people were still considered missing in Komyshuvakha.
He added that rescue operations were being hampered by Russian drones, as Russian forces had intensified attacks on the site of the tragedy.
