The Ukrainian army has received a new Vespa-15 attack drone. It has been authorized for use in the Armed Forces, according to the Ministry of Defense.

Vespa means “wasp” in Italian. The Vespa-15 unmanned aerial vehicle is capable of covering distances of several tens of kilometers to a target with a large combat load.

The drones have increased resistance to electronic countermeasures. According to the main directorate for life cycle support of weapons and military equipment, the explosive sting of the Ukrainian drone can hit not only enemy manpower but also armored vehicles, cars, field shelters, etc.

The complex has modifications of drones to perform various tasks during the day and at night.

Unique Ukrainian drones

During the full-scale war, Ukrainian developers produced unique Magura maritime drones used by the Defence Intelligence. These drones destroy the Russian fleet and other enemy targets at sea.

DIU's military destroyed two Russian Su-30 aircraft in the Black Sea using maritime drones for the first time in history.

According to the head of the DIU, Kyrylo Budanov, the new Magura V7s were used with an AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missile with infrared guidance. Later, the first photo of the new Magura V7 maritime drones was posted online.
