Today, August 4, a deadly fire broke out in Kryvyi Rih. A single-story industrial building caught fire in one of the city's districts, the press service of Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES) and local Telegram channels report.

According to Ukrainian rescuers, the fire occurred in a one-story industrial facility in the Pokrovskyi district of the city, resulting in the deaths of three people.

Firefighting efforts are still ongoing. The blaze has covered an area of about 1,000 square meters. More than 30 rescuers and 12 SES vehicles have been deployed to contain the fire.

According to the SES in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the victims include two men and one woman.

Local Telegram channels report that the fire broke out at a private bakery supplying products to supermarkets, family-run bakeries, and pastry shops. Preliminary reports suggest the blaze started during welding work.

Rescuers have shared footage from the scene of the massive fire.

Other fires in Ukraine on August 4

Earlier today, Monday, August 4, a fire broke out at the Vlasta hotel in Lviv.

According to Vitalii Turovtsev, Spokesperson for the State Emergency Service, the fire was reported at 12:23 p.m. local time on Kleparivska Street, 30.

The blaze is believed to have started on the 9th floor of the building. Firefighters were dispatched with an elevated alarm level. They evacuated 15 people from the site.

According to the Lviv City Council, six people were hospitalized from the hotel. One man suffered severe burns. Preliminary reports indicate there was an explosion in his room. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
