Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, has signed an order mandating the evacuation of residents from 11 more settlements in the Sumy district, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

The reason is the ongoing threat of shelling by Russian forces targeting border communities.

The list of settlements from which evacuation is required includes:

  • Horobivka (Richkivska community);
  • Shtanivka, Voronivka, Yanchenky (Bilopilska community);
  • Tsymbalivka, Shkurativka (Vorozhbyanska community);
  • Krovne, Mykolaivka, Rudnivka, Spaske, Kapitanivka (Mykolaivska community).

Local authorities emphasize that staying in an area of constant danger poses a direct threat to life and health.

Transportation, humanitarian aid, temporary housing, and social benefits are provided to everyone in need of evacuation assistance.

As of today, 213 settlements in Sumy region are subject to mandatory evacuation.

Earlier, the UN described the recent Russian strike on a bus in Sumy region as the deadliest attack in recent weeks.
