In Russia's Dagestan, there were reports of an attack on the morning of November 6. Drones were spotted over the city of Kaspiysk, according to Astra and the head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, on Telegram.

In the morning, videos began appearing on social media showing a drone flying over Kaspiysk. In the footage, the drone explodes, allegedly due to the work of air defense systems.

The Governor of Dagestan stated that the air defense system destroyed a drone over Kaspiysk.

"Currently, the circumstances of what happened are being clarified. The operational headquarters is working, and I am in constant contact with the responsible authorities," he wrote.

After the alleged downing of the drone, residents of Kaspiysk reported new explosions on social media.

Russian media also report that the airport in Makhachkala (the capital of Dagestan) was closed due to a drone attack.

It is worth noting that the city of Kaspiysk is located on the shore of the Caspian Sea, is a satellite city of Makhachkala, and is close to the international airport. The city has a population of about 100,000 people. Kaspiysk is home to a naval base of Russia's Caspian Flotilla.

Drone attacks on Russia

Ukrainian defenders have carried out dozens of operations against the enemy using drones. The Defense Forces are targeting military sites on Russian territory and in the occupied regions of Ukraine.

In particular, the Defense Forces are "hunting" for oil refineries and fuel depots that supply fuel to the Russian army. For example, one of the largest oil terminals in Crimea, located in Feodosia, was attacked.

The oil depot had been supplying fuel to the occupying forces. After the attack, a fire raged at the terminal for nearly a week.
