Czechia facilitates technology transfer: Supplying Ukraine with CZ BREN 2 rifle parts
The Czech company Česká zbrojovka and the joint-stock company Ukrainian Defense Industry concluded an agreement on the supply to Ukraine of all parts for CZ BREN 2 rifles, according to the Ukrainian Defense Industry and Colt CZ Group.
According to the agreement, Česká zbrojovka will supply Ukraine with all the parts from which the CZ BREN 2 rifles are assembled.
"This first step in the full technology transfer project for the CZ BREN 2 rifle is directly related to its successful deployment on the Ukrainian battlefield in the hands of the Ukrainian armed forces," said Jan Zajíc, CEO of the Czech company.
According to the Ukrainian Defense Industry, CZ BREN 2 is used by military formations and law enforcement agencies around the world, such as the Army of Czechia, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Task Force of the French National Gendarmerie, the Portuguese Army, the Polish Border Guard, and the Romanian Gendarmerie.
"Technology transfer from NATO member countries is a key moment for our company, due to the successful international partnership and defense industry reform. This initiative is an important step on the way to creating the Arsenal of the free world in Ukraine," stressed Ukroboronprom General Director Herman Smetanin.
Last week the President of Czechia, Petr Pavel, said that his country had found 800,000 155 and 122 millimeter artillery shells for Ukraine.
In the coming weeks, they may go to the Ukrainian army.
