A "bad peace" in Ukraine would lead to long-term negative consequences for the security of the entire Europe. At the same time, support for the Ukrainian state is a direct investment in European stability, states Czech President Petr Pavel, according to Radio Svoboda.

According to the Czech leader, Ukraine is currently not only defending Europe but is also fundamentally changing approaches to warfare. He called Ukraine one of the strongest defense players on the continent.

Pavel stressed that Ukraine has demonstrated extraordinary resilience, gained significant combat experience, and developed technological innovations.

The Czech president emphasized that supporting Kyiv is not charity, but a direct investment. According to him, if Ukraine wins, Europe will be safe, whereas if it is forced into a "bad peace," the consequences will be felt for decades.

Conflicts are won through technology

Pavel noted that it is technologies that make it possible to win modern conflicts, as demonstrated by the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.

He added that war accelerates processes, and European countries should learn from Ukraine’s ability to adapt quickly.

He said that Ukraine has demonstrated not only determination and heroism, but also an incredible ability to adapt, innovate, and transform, adding that this is something the EU has lost due to numerous peacetime regulations, and that during conflict, flexibility and rapid results are essential.

The head of the Presidential Office, Kyrylo Budanov, believes that the peace process between Ukraine and the aggressor country will ultimately lead to the end of the war.

At the same time, the Institute for the Study of War reported that there are currently no signs that the Kremlin intends to end its aggression, despite statements by the head of the Kremlin.
