Employees of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine carried out a cyberattack on a Russian nuclear weapons development facility. As a result of the operation, Ukraine received a lot of useful information, states a representative of the DIU Yevhen Yerin.

“This is one of the most powerful enterprises that used to develop nuclear munitions. Disruptions in the operation of such an enterprise are a blow to both the structure itself and the image of the aggressor country,” Yerin said.

According to the DIU representative, the cyberattack resulted in a lot of information.

“There is a lot of information, it is diverse: personal databases of employees, official information, information that can shed some light on ways to circumvent sanctions. This information is being studied and analyzed and will definitely be used in the interests of our victory,” he assured.

Yesterday, we wrote that the DIU's cyber specialists, together with the BO Team hacker group, attacked the only provider in Snezhinsk, Chelyabinsk region of Russia, Vega.

According to preliminary data, the operation resulted in the failure of its 1173 switches and 10 servers. Moreover, all information on Vega's servers was destroyed.

RBC-Ukraine also reported that in late July, Ukrainian intelligence conducted a large-scale cyberattack on the financial sector and government resources of the Russian Federation. The attack lasted for a week. Several companies in Russia that support the war against Ukraine were also targeted.
