Usually, the remaining avocados are placed in the refrigerator, sometimes wrapped in cling film. However, Avocados From Mexico has a specific sequence of steps that will help keep leftover avocados fresh for about seven days.

This method is extremely simple but effective. First of all, cut the avocado and remove the pit from the fruit. Immediately sprinkle the flesh of the unused half with fresh lemon juice to prevent the fruit from darkening.

Then wrap the unwanted avocado half in cling film and place it in the refrigerator. Storing the avocado halves in this way minimizes the surface of the avocado from coming into contact with air and thus slows down ripening.
