The general director of a Russian machine-building design enterprise, which manufactures cruise missiles, has been charged with suspicion, according to the Prosecutor General's Office.

The director has been notified of suspicion under Article 27, Part 5, Article 28, Part 2, Article 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the suspect heads a machine-building design enterprise that is part of the Tactical Missile Armament corporation of the terrorist country. The corporation, in turn, is the largest producer of missile armaments.

"This enterprise manufactures strategic air-to-ground cruise missiles Kh-101, which the aggressor state uses to strike the territory of Ukraine. Such armaments in significant quantities regularly reach the units of the long-range aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces, allowing the continuation of aggressive warfare against Ukraine," the press service adds.

Russian Kalibr missiles

According to spokeswoman for the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine Natalia Humeniuk, it is currently problematic for Russian terrorists to deliver and maintain missile installations that launch Kalibr missiles, as logistics and infrastructure remain in Sevastopol bays. Moreover, it is difficult for missile carriers to reach the temporarily occupied Crimea, as expeditions are associated with an increased threat of attacks by surface drones.

Additionally, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov said that the Russian fleet has accumulated Kalibr cruise missiles that can be used against Ukraine. At the same time, Russia has decided to use Kh-101 cruise missiles instead of Kalibrs as they are more effective.

According to representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Vadym Skibitskyi, Russia has at its disposal no less than 260 units of Kalibrs.
