On the night of May 27, Russia was attacked by unidentified drones. Russian Defense Ministry reported air defense allegedly destroyed 99 UAVs in seven regions of the country, according to ASTRA and Russian Telegram channels.

Drone attack

Most of the UAVs were recorded over Belgorod (56) and Voronezh (25) regions. The rest were in the Vladimir, Kaluga, Tula, Lipetsk, and Rostov regions.

Residents of Murom reported explosions on the territory of a local plant. A red level of danger was introduced in Lipetsk.

Murom

According to the governor of the Vladimir region, the attack damaged three buildings in the industrial zone in Murom.

There were no casualties, but evacuations were carried out. There are also reports of a forest fire in the Lipetsk region after the wreckage of one of the UAVs fell.

In the city of Murom, drones hit a local plant.

Airports

Airports in Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Tambov, and Kaluga were closed due to the threat of repeated attacks. Warning systems were in place in a number of regions, and local authorities asked residents to stay in shelters.

Russian security forces claim successful air defense work and no damage, but frequent alarms, sirens, fires, and airport restrictions increasingly suggest otherwise.
