Russian authorities blocked traffic on the Crimean Bridge after midday on Tuesday, June 3. Maritime traffic has also been stopped, according to RIA Novosti and Russian Telegram reports.

“The roadstead in Sevastopol Bay has been temporarily closed, sea passenger transport has stopped moving,” RIA Novosti writes.

Traffic on the Crimean Bridge was also blocked.

Russian Telegram channels claim that explosions were heard in the area of the bridge and that the bridge was under attack by underwater drones.

So far, no one has officially reported a second attack. The self-proclaimed governor of occupied Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said that until 4 pm local time, the Russian Navy was reportedly conducting training of air defense units using various types of weapons.

The Atesh guerrilla movement said that an explosion was heard near the Crimean Bridge at about 2:45 pm local time.

“Atesh agents report that an explosion was heard near the Crimean Bridge. No air raid alert was declared in the city, but it feels like the bridge is collapsing by itself,” the guerrillas wrote.

SBU hits Crimean Bridge today

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) conducted another unique operation and attacked the Crimean Bridge for the third time.

The operation lasted several months. First, SBU agents mined the pylons of the Crimean Bridge, and today, without any civilian casualties, the first explosive device was activated at 04:44 am local time.

The SBU head, Lieutenant General Vasyl Malyuk, personally supervised the operation and coordinated its planning.

The first attack on the bridge took place on October 8, 2022. A truck was blown up. After the explosion, there was a massive fire.

In July 2023, there was another attack on the Crimean Bridge. Two spans were destroyed. SBU head Malyuk also confirmed the special service's involvement, saying that it was organized with the help of Sea Baby drones.
