'Crawl in like cockroaches': DeepState describes Russian pressure in Sumy region

Russian forces are making advances in the Sumy region due to their superiority in manpower and constant assaults. The situation is currently very dynamic, Roman Pohorilyi, co-founder and analyst of the Deep State platform, states in a comment to RBC-Ukraine's YouTube channel.
According to Pohorilyi, the enemy, thanks to a large amount of infantry, has been carrying out constant assault operations. Ukraine's Defense Forces physically do not have time to eliminate the enemy, as the Russians "crawl in like cockroaches." However, FPV drones and artillery continue to strike them. Currently, Russian troops' goal is to try to enter deeper into the Sumy region.
As of today, the enemy, as the Deep State platform analyst noted, has occupied 10 settlements. In particular, Vodolaha and Andriivka have been added.
"The situation is very dynamic. At first, there was information that they (Russians - ed.) were entering a given village, but the fire was opened on them, and they had no opportunity to gain a foothold. By evening, the situation could be different - they might occupy it. The maps will be updated soon," Pohorilyi explained.
Situation in Sumy region
On June 2, the Spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, stated that the enemy continues to send infantry into the areas of the Yunakivka and Khotin communities in the Sumy region. In particular, the Russians are trying to expand the entry zone.
Today, June 5, Demchenko reported that Russian troops have also been actively using aviation in the Sumy direction. In particular, the attacks are accompanied by attempts to break through with small assault groups.
As part of the summer-autumn campaign, the enemy’s priorities on the front will look as follows:
- advancement in the Donetsk region. The main battles will be fought in the areas of Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, and Kostiantynivka;
- advancement in the Ukrainian border regions, particularly in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
