Companies associated with oligarchs Ihor Kolomoisky and Hennadii Boholyubov are accused of paying multimillion-dollar taxes in Russia. The allegations concern entities that conducted business in the Russian Federation through a series of offshore companies.

As RBC-Ukraine reported, Yuzhgaznergy, LLC paid 416 million rubles in taxes to Russia in 2022. Although the company claimed it could not exit the Russian market due to financial losses, its assets were only confiscated in 2024.

Following the publication of this information, the Ukrainian press office of JKX Oil & Gas stated that the company does not exert any control over entities operating in the Russian market.

Additionally, in November 2023, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region stripped Adygea Gas B.V. and Page Gas Ltd, which were part of the JKX Oil & Gas Ltd group, of their rights as participants in Yuzhgaznergy, LLC including rights to manage shares in the company and to receive distributed net profits, as mentioned in a JKX Oil & Gas press release.

Meanwhile, in its 2022 reports, JKX Oil & Gas stated that it had analyzed its participation in Yuzhgaznergy, LLC and Catering-Yug, LLC, but determined that exiting its Russian assets was impossible due to the financial losses it would incur from the sale of those assets under sanctions.

According to the Russian tax authorities, Yuzhgaznergy, LLC alone paid 416 million rubles in taxes in 2022. The company, linked to Boholyubov and Kolomoisky, being a major shareholder in JKX, was delisted from the register in November 2022. Following the company's delisting from the British stock exchange, information about the beneficiaries of JKX Oil & Gas remains closed.

Additionally, in 2018, Yuzhgaznergy, LLC CEO Oleksandr Bohdanovych mentioned in an interview that the company utilized transportation services from sanctioned Gazprom.

In March 2024, the Russian authorities, through a court ruling, forcibly confiscated the oligarchs' assets, including the two aforementioned companies, securing over 5 billion rubles for the state budget.
