Coca-Cola issues statement after Russian strike on plant in Ukraine's Brovary

Russian forces struck a Coca-Cola plant in the Kyiv region with a drone on Thursday, September 3. No employees were injured in the attack.
"We confirm that our production facility in Brovary was damaged in a drone attack on September 3. We are pleased to confirm that all of our employees are safe and unharmed," the company said in a statement.
Coca-Cola said it is working with the relevant authorities to assess the situation.
"The safety and well-being of our employees remain our top priority," the company said.
What happened before
Earlier today, September 3, Russian forces carried out drone attacks on Kyiv and the Kyiv region throughout the day, including with jet-powered drones.
During the day, reports emerged online that the Coca-Cola plant in the Kyiv region may have been one of the targets of the Russian attacks. It is one of the largest soft drink manufacturing facilities in Europe.
Media outlets also published videos showing a fire breaking out on the plant’s premises following the attack.
Later, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Russian drones had attacked the Coca-Cola plant in the Kyiv region.
The president said Russia was using its weapons to terrorize civilians. He added that the strike on the plant was a "clear Russian signal to America."
