Chisinau International Airport temporarily suspended operations following a bomb threat. After security services conducted a search, the threat was not confirmed, and the airport resumed normal operations, Chisinau International Airport reports.

On the afternoon of October 3, an alert was declared at Chisinau Airport due to a bomb threat.

Security services and border guards urgently evacuated passengers and staff from the terminal.

Due to the incident, check-in procedures were temporarily suspended, and the flight schedule was changed.

As of 4:00 p.m., the relevant services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs had completed their inspection of the area. The bomb threat turned out to be false.

After that, passenger access to the terminal was restored, and boarding procedures resumed as usual.

Passengers are advised to check the status of their flights on the airport's online departure board and follow updates from airlines.

The wave of bomb threats at Chisinau Airport has continued for a second consecutive day.

The previous day, October 2, an emergency evacuation was also ordered at the terminal, and passenger check-in was suspended due to a similar threat.

In addition, the security situation in the region remains tense.

In particular, during the massive attack on Ukraine on the morning of October 3, the neighboring country's airspace was violated, with explosions involving three missiles and two drones recorded on Moldovan territory.
