China refuses to arm Russia despite Kremlin's repeated pressure, Ukraine's intel says

China is not providing military support to Russia in its war against Ukraine despite repeated attempts by the Kremlin to secure it, said Andrii Yusov, a Representative of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in an interview with Novyny.LIVE.
When asked about China's role in supporting Russia, Yusov dismissed the possibility of military aid from Beijing.
"There is no military support. The rest is part of a complicated diplomatic process," the Intelligence Representative said.
China's position on the war in Ukraine
China has officially declared its stance as neutral in the war. At the same time, Beijing maintains close cooperation with Moscow. Several Chinese companies supply Russia with dual-use goods that can be used for weapons production.
By purchasing Russian oil and gas, China is also indirectly financing the Kremlin's war.
Beijing's strategy toward Moscow follows a dual approach. It offers limited support but also restrains Russia’s ability to grow stronger. According to Yusov, this policy has its own logic from China's perspective.
Earlier, The Economist reported that China had become a key supplier for Russia's war machine and suggested Beijing may have transferred lethal weapons.
Reuters also reported that Chinese military engines were secretly shipped to Russia under the label of "industrial refrigeration units" to evade Western sanctions.
