Russia receives military aid from Iran and North Korea. China is helping Russia prolong the war against Ukraine, says President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the European Council.
He emphasizes that Russia needs more forces, and Vladimir Putin is preparing reinforcements to continue the war, not to end it.
According to Zelenskyy, Putin wants to catch up with the production of ammunition in the EU by next year.
“He is getting help from North Korea with shells, equipment, now even people. And plus Iran... Unfortunately, we are receiving signals that China is still actively helping Russia to drag out this war. And we have clear intelligence data,” the president said.
Ukraine's victory plan is designed for this moment and, if followed, the war can be ended no later than next year.
China's attitude to the war
China claims to have a supposedly neutral position in Russia's war against Ukraine. However, Chinese companies continue to supply Russia with dual-use goods. There has been no official confirmation of China transferring weapons to Moscow.
China has developed its own “peace plan” for Ukraine. It was criticized in Ukraine. The President of Ukraine called alternative peace initiatives destructive.
