China is not interested in supporting Russia's industrial potential - Italian Prime Minister
Currently, China is not interested in supporting Russia's industrial potential, states Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
According to Meloni, during a meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, they "clearly addressed the issue of China's support for Russia, trying to understand each side's interests."
"I think China is not interested at this stage in supporting Russia's industrial potential, even though, as we know, it does not intervene directly," noted the Italian Prime Minister.
Meloni also expressed hope that China might "play a leading role" in resolving the war in Ukraine.
"President Xi Jinping said yesterday that China is always working towards peaceful coexistence among peoples, and I would like to see steps taken in this direction," added the Italian head of government.
