China deploys mysterious ship with unknown purpose
China deploys a mysterious vessel resembling an aircraft carrier, The War Zone reports.
According to reports, the Chinese ship features various commercial rather than military markings. It does not match any established class of vessels in the Chinese Navy. Analysts speculate it could be the first of its kind, potentially a civilian research ship.
Journalists, however, highlighted a peculiar design detail: the vessel includes three superstructures characteristic of aircraft carriers. Typically, such ships feature one or two "islands," but this vessel has three. Additionally, the third structure houses exhaust stacks, an uncommon design choice. The ship also appears to have distinct flight and hangar decks, another hallmark of aircraft carriers.

The new Chinese vessel's name and specifications remain undisclosed, as well as its actual functionality and purpose.
Media reports suggest the ship was launched around September or October this year. Images show an emblem indicating its affiliation with CSSC, the China State Shipbuilding Corporation. Experts believe the vessel could serve as a training, testing, or demonstration platform.
Previously, RBC-Ukraine reported that China deployed all its aircraft carriers to sea simultaneously for the first time in history, offering a glimpse into how the nation might mobilize its fleet during a potential operation, such as an attack on Taiwan.
