In Beijing, cooperation between China and Russia was described as legitimate and not directed against third countries. China called on other states not to interfere, according to Lin Jian, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, as reported by the Global Times.

The spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the words of US Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, who earlier stated that the war in Ukraine would end tomorrow if China stopped helping Russia.

According to Lin Jian, China consistently adheres to an objective and fair position, actively promotes peaceful negotiation processes and dialogue between the parties.

"The majority of countries, including the US and Europe, continue to engage in trade with Russia. The normal exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Russian enterprises comply with WTO (World Trade Organization) rules and market principles, are not targeted at any third party, and should not be subject to interference or influence from any third party," he said.

Trump's special envoy, Keith Kellogg, believes that if China stopped helping Russia, then the war in Ukraine could end as early as tomorrow.

He noted that if one looks at China and Russia, Russia is the junior partner, since China has the advantage.

Cooperation between Russia and China

Despite statements about a neutral position in the war against Ukraine, China continues to cooperate with Russia, supplying dual-use goods that can be used for weapons production.

Earlier in Ukraine, it was stated that information had been received that China supplies weapons to Russia.

The Economist wrote that China has become one of the leading suppliers for Russia's war machine.

According to sources, Beijing may also have transferred lethal weapons to Russia. An example given is Shahed-type strike drones, which Russia is now producing on a large scale.

A Reuters report states that Chinese combat engines are secretly transported to Russia under the guise of "industrial refrigeration units" to avoid Western sanctions.
