China and Russia exploring paths for military collaboration

According to Ukrinform, Pentagon spokesperson General Patrick Ryder stated that China and Russia are actively exploring avenues for military cooperation, a development closely monitored by the United States, which stands ready to respond as needed.
"It's hardly surprising that China and Russia continue to seek avenues for military collaboration. We will continue to monitor this situation and respond appropriately," the Pentagon spokesperson remarked.
This response was given in regard to inquiries about the joint maneuvers of Russia and China near the Aleutian Islands, which fall within the jurisdiction of the United States.
Russian and Chinese ships near Alaska
Last week, Russia and China dispatched their naval forces towards the coast of Alaska. A fleet consisting of 11 ships sailed near the Aleutian Islands but refrained from crossing the boundary between international and American waters.
Four American destroyers and P-8 Poseidon aircraft closely monitored the Russian and Chinese vessels.
"This is unprecedented in history. Considering the context of the war in Ukraine and the tensions around Taiwan, this move is highly provocative," retired Navy captain Brent Sadler commented.
