Beijing accused the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force of excessively approaching Chinese military aircraft during reconnaissance in the East China Sea air defense identification zone.
Spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Defense, Jiang Bin, emphasized that Chinese military personnel, in accordance with the law, checked, identified, and controlled the Japanese aircraft. According to him, the actions of Chinese pilots were legal, professional, and standardized.
