On Monday, October 6, Russian forces once again carried out a drone attack on Chernihiv, according to the State Emergency Service (DSNS) of the Chernihiv region.

According to the State Emergency Service, the strikes caused a fire in a residential building. Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading.

Preliminary information indicates that there were no casualties.

A total of 15 rescuers and 5 units of equipment from the Chernihiv region’s State Emergency Service were involved in dealing with the aftermath of the enemy attack.

Attacks on Chernihiv and the region

Over the past week, Russia has targeted the energy infrastructure of Chernihiv and the surrounding region. In particular, following attacks in early October, the situation there became one of the most difficult.

We also reported that on the night of October 4, the Russian army once again attacked the energy system in the Chernihiv region, damaging several key power supply facilities.

Last night, the Russian forces struck Chernihiv’s energy infrastructure with Shahed drones. According to the regional military administration, a fire broke out at the site of the impact. The enemy also hit a power facility, which caused emergency power outages in one of the city’s districts.
