In the early hours of July 24, Russia launched missile attacks on the Cherkasy region. Several large-scale fires broke out in the city as a result of the attack, states Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.

“A missile attack on the regional center. We have several fires across the city. According to preliminary data, six people were injured,” the statement reads.

Currently, all specialized services are working at the sites of impact.

According to preliminary reports, at least six people were injured and hospitalized with varying degrees of trauma. Medical personnel are providing necessary assistance to the victims.

Rescue workers, medics, police, and bomb disposal experts are operating at the impact sites. Residents are urged to stay in shelters or follow safety protocols while emergency response efforts continue.

Authorities promise to provide more detailed information once the initial rescue operations and damage assessments are completed.

During the heightened missile threat, several powerful explosions were heard in Cherkasy.
