Canadian instructors teach Ukrainian soldiers complex medical skills - General Staff
Canadian instructors are training Ukrainian soldiers in advanced medical skills as part of the UNIFIER training mission. These skills are specifically designed to enhance the chances of survival for fighters after sustaining injuries, according to a post from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Ukrainian servicemen undergoing intensive training under the leadership of Canadian instructors of the Medical Training Element of the UNIFIER training operation UNIFIER are using manikins when teaching advanced medical skills such as administering of an intravenous line or intubation tube," the report states.
The General Staff noted that these skills significantly improve the chances of wounded fighters surviving after combat injuries.
Additionally, training sessions are conducted in darkness, which helps the Ukrainian Defense Forces hone their skills in challenging conditions.
