Many people believe that to lose weight, one should not eat after 6:00 PM, and the only permissible intake is water. Professional fitness coach Viktor Mandziak addressed this question in an exclusive comment for RBC-Ukraine.

The expert explained that after 6:00 PM, you can eat the same foods as you would earlier in the day.
"Food does not become harmful after this time. It does not become more caloric and does not negatively affect your body," Viktor said.
"This is an old and outdated myth that there are certain food restrictions after 6:00 PM," Mandziak added.
According to the expert, there is no sense in restricting yourself, as your body functions the same as before 6 PM.
Why do some people avoid eating after 6:00 PM?
Some people choose not to eat after 6:00 PM for various reasons, here are a few possible motives:
Promoting sleep
There is a belief that eating, especially heavy or large meals, before bedtime can make it difficult to fall asleep or cause discomfort during the night.
Weight control
Some people believe that limiting the time when they eat helps maintain or reduce weight, as they consume fewer calories.
Physiological reasons
Some think that food consumed late in the evening can cause gastrointestinal problems in some people, especially if they suffer from reflux or other digestive issues.
