Built to last many years: Smartphone with durable battery hits market
Honor has introduced an advanced mid-range smartphone, the X50 Pro, in China, expanding the Honor X50 series. This new device complements the models Honor X50 and X50i, which were unveiled in the summer of 2023, writes ITHome.
The new device at $395 for the version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in flash memory.
Considering that the device is based on the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, and the more powerful and modern iQOO Neo9 Pro costs from $420, it is challenging to label the price of the Honor X50 Pro as low.
The Honor X50 Pro features an AMOLED display with a 6.78-inch diagonal and a resolution of 2650 × 1200 pixels. The screen supports a refresh rate of 60 or 120 Hz, with a PWM frequency of 1,920 Hz. The device has a thickness of 7.98 mm and weighs 192 grams.

One of the notable features of the model is its 5,800 mAh battery, supporting 35W fast charging, and the power supply unit is included in the package. Honor has also announced the use of technology that ensures "long battery life after four years of use."
The front camera of the device is equipped with an 8-megapixel sensor, and the main camera includes sensors with a resolution of 108 MP (optical format 1/1.67 inches) and 2 MP.
Earlier, it was reported that a "tank-like" smartphone with a battery that "lasts" for more than two months had been released.
