While helping Ukraine in the fight against the Russian invaders, a well-known volunteer and combat medic from the United Kingdom, Peter Fouche, was killed in action.
RBC-Ukraine dwells on the circumstances of the tragic event and the life of the British volunteer.
Peter Fouche's death
The paramedic's death was announced on the Facebook page of the Project Konstantin charity fund, which was co-founded by Fouche.
"On the shield: Peter “Hasta La Vista” Fouché. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Pete, our beloved director and founder," the post reads.
Peter's unwavering dedication to his work, endless compassion, and extraordinary devotion to Ukraine and its people impacted many lives.
The heroism of Peter knew no bounds. He rescued more than 200 wounded Ukrainian soldiers, was involved in the evacuation of civilians from the most dangerous front-line cities and towns, and also took care of the delivery of humanitarian aid to people in these settlements.

"Pete’s bravery and selflessness in the face of danger were nothing short of extraordinary, and his actions will forever be etched in our hearts. Pete was more than a leader; he was a beacon of hope, a true hero, and a friend to all. His wisdom, compassion, and faith in God inspired us every day," Project Konstantin emphasizes.
Honoring the memory of the deceased, the foundation adds that they will continue the work that Fouche admired so much, and will continue his legacy of courage and kindness, fighting for what is right.
"Rest in peace, Peter. We know that our Heavenly Father has welcomed you into His arms. Your heroism and contributions will never be forgotten and we will make sure that it was not in vain," his colleagues conclude.

Foucher's life and achievements
Previously, Peter lived in London, where he worked as a policeman and a carpenter.
In March 2022, he decided to come to Ukraine to join the fight against the Russian invaders.
At first, Fouche was a volunteer, helping to create a field hospital in Brovary near Kyiv.
Later, the volunteer underwent several medical trainings and joined the territorial defense.
The Project Konstantin charity fund (named after one of the fallen Peter's brothers) was also founded, which ensures the rapid evacuation of soldiers after receiving injuries on the battlefield.
In January 2024, Peter Fouche officially joined the ranks of the Armed Forces as a combat medic.
Already soon, in February 2024, the man emotionally addressed the governments of Western countries and urged them to urgently transfer the promised military aid to Ukraine.
He also talked about the extremely difficult situation at the front due to problems with the delay of Western aid.
In addition, he repeatedly repeated that the Russian Federation is committing genocide in Ukraine.
