The Ukrainian defense forces in the Kupiansk direction discovered the enemy position and attacked it. The process of destroying the occupiers was captured on video, reports the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
"We organized a New Year's Eve fireworks show for the invaders," the statement reads.
It is noted that on the last day of 2023, border guards of the Steel Frontier Offensive Guard Brigade destroyed the occupiers' observation post in the Kupiansk direction.
"An accurate drop destroyed the enemy position along with the occupiers," the SBGS added.
Ukrainian defense forces destroy Russians
Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of Monday morning, January 1, amounted to 780 occupants. The total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion is approximately 360,010. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 6 tanks, 17 armored personnel carriers, and 18 enemy artillery systems.
It was also reported that over the past day, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated almost 300 more Russian occupants in the Tavria direction. The Armed Forces also destroyed 59 units of enemy military equipment.
