Three US soldiers who went missing last week at a training ground in Lithuania were found dead on March 31. The search for a fourth soldier is still ongoing, according to the US Army Europe and Africa Command.

The names of the three deceased soldiers have not been disclosed yet, as their families must be notified first. The search for the fourth soldier continues.

The US Command clarified that the soldiers had been deployed to Lithuania in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve and were permanently stationed in Georgia.

"The US Army and Lithuanian authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available," the US statement said.

Disappearance of US military

Some time ago, it became known that four US military personnel and a tracked vehicle disappeared in Lithuania during exercises at the Pabradė training ground.

The US military exercises were taking place at the training ground in Lithuania to train rotational force units stationed there. For the past nine months, two battalions of the US Third Infantry Division have been stationed there. Joint exercises with Lithuania and other NATO allies were also planned.

This morning, a military armored vehicle was found in Lithuania, possibly carrying the four missing US soldiers. However, both Lithuanian police and US investigators continue their investigation.
