An Odesa resident was "leaking" the locations of Ukrainian Defense Forces' bases in the city and region on TikTok. Law enforcement authorities have already arrested him, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Case details

The suspect was spreading information about the locations of Ukrainian defense units in Odesa and the surrounding region.

"He filmed video footage of fortification structures for the protection and defense of the region's territory against enemy forces. He posted the videos on his own TikTok page, which allowed for the identification of objects on the terrain," explained the prosecutor's office.

Law enforcement notes that the published video with commentary was viewed by nearly 10,000 users, with further distribution, including by Russian users on the social media platform.

Potential consequences

The resident of Odesa has been informed of suspicion of unauthorized dissemination of information regarding the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Upon the prosecutor's request, the suspect has been taken into custody without bail. He faces up to eight years of imprisonment.

Collaborators and traitors in Ukraine

Law enforcement detained another collaborator in Kherson. During the occupation of the city, he "served" the Russians and tortured Ukrainians.

Additionally, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) apprehended a Russian agent who was preparing to shell the Mykolaiv region during the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy there.
