Blasts in Russia? Loud explosions shake Moscow suburbs during drone attack on Ukraine

Explosions were reported in the Moscow region on the evening of July 18 during a combined Russian drone attack on Ukraine. Residents in the town of Dmitrov reported hearing loud blasts, according to local Telegram channels, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, and Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation.
"It's loud here, but there are also serious explosions near Moscow," Kovalenko wrote.
Residents of Dmitrov, located north of Moscow, reported hearing multiple blasts.
Some said, "Something exploded in a field." Reports of explosions came from various parts of the Dmitrovsky District.
Drone attack on Russian chemical plant
A day earlier, on July 17, drones reportedly struck a key chemical plant involved in missile production.
The target was identified as the Shchekinoazot plant in Russia's Tula region, which is believed to manufacture missiles and drones.
According to online reports, at least four drones hit the facility, sparking a fire.
Following the attack, the plant is likely to have suspended operations. Workers were evacuated.
