Biden still plans to participate in debates with Trump in September - CNN
US President Joe Biden intends to take part in the second debate with his Republican opponent Donald Trump, according to CNN and The Hill.
As acknowledged by an unnamed advisor to Biden in comments to CNN, the performance of the head of the American state in the debates held on June 28 was unconvincing.
However, he added that the US President's team intends to highlight moments that played into Biden's favor and move forward.
The advisor clarified that many experts currently involved in Biden's presidential campaign also helped former US President Barack Obama win re-election, despite losing the first debates.
Meanwhile, a representative of Biden's campaign, Seth Schuster, commented on the possibility of the President withdrawing from the electoral race.
“Of course he’s not dropping out,” emphasized Schuster.
Biden and Trump debate
Today, June 28, the first debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump took place in the United States. According to the US media, most Americans believe that the current President failed the debate and lost to his opponent.
After that, American Democrats began to allow for the replacement of the US presidential candidate, as they believe that Biden has little chance.
