Biden says he will return to campaign trail next week
US President Joe Biden will return to the campaign trail next week. He is currently being treated for coronavirus, according to ABC News.
"I look forward to getting back on the campaign trail next week to continue exposing the threat of Donald Trump's Project 2025 agenda while making the case for my own record and the vision that I have for America: one where we save our democracy, protect our rights and freedoms, and create opportunity for everyone," Biden said.
He also emphasized that in the upcoming vote in November, "the stakes are high, and the choice is clear".
The President also criticized former President Donald Trump's speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday evening. According to Biden, Trump "focused on his own grievances, with no plan to unite us and no plan to make life better for working people."
Background
Recent rumors have intensified about the possibility of Biden withdrawing from the presidential race. According to Western media, the President's family is already discussing this possibility.
However, Biden's campaign has denied such claims. As noted by the head of Biden’s campaign, Jen O’Malley Dillon, Biden is the "best person" to compete against Trump.
