Belgium deported dozens of Russian spies in recent months
The Prime Minister of Belgium, Alexander De Croo, has declared the expulsion of dozens of Russian spies from the country, who were identified as "Russian diplomats," according to The Brussels Times.
"Belgium has deported dozens of so-called Russian diplomats from the country in recent months. Were they spies? Clearly, yes," De Croo said.
According to the Prime Minister, when the country stands against Russia, its websites become targets of cyber attacks.
Investigations revealed that the highest amount of satellite communication equipment, used for transmitting confidential information back to Russia, was installed at the Russian embassies in Belgium.
No fewer than 17 satellite dishes were installed on the rooftop of an embassy building in one of the Belgian cities, along with several other antennas and communication devices, potentially utilized for both communication and espionage purposes.
